For Your Eyes Only
Retinal detachment is a very grave eye condition that happens when the retina separates from the tissue around it. This can lead to permanent blindness if the detached retina isn't repaired promptly. Retinal detachment can occur to people who are severely nearsighted or have had an eye injury or cataract surgery. People with a family history of retinal detachment are also highly susceptible to it. A detached retina doesn’t hurt and therefore, it is overlooked at times. The common symptoms are flashes of light, seeing small flecks or threads (floaters) and darkened peripherals. It can be easily diagnosed by an eye doctor with an eye exam.

Retinal detachment treatment includes crypexy, pneumatic retinopexy, vitrectomy etc. Cosmetic eyelid surgery is a surgical procedure designed to improve the appearance of your eyes, primarily to reduce signs of aging. It is commonly known as Blepharoplasty. For most people, blepharoplasty is a long-lasting procedure. The improvement in eyelid appearance from blepharoplasty generally can last as long as 10 years. Besides blepharoplasty, other cosmetic eye procedures include removal of fat pads under the eyelids to reduce "puffy eyes," surgical correction of a drooping eyelid and removal of skin tags and other growths from the eyelids. There will be some eyelid swelling and bruising after blepharoplasty.

Alongside, these treatments one prime thing is eye donation. Eye donation is a great act of charity and more and more people should pledge to donate their eyes. Various eye banks are present all over the country and campaigns for eye donation in Delhi, Mumbai, and other major cities are held every now and then. Pledge to donate your eyes and give the gift of sight to someone.
